NOTE: To be safe, manually set a System Restore point before uninstalling any monitors listed in Device Manager. Back at the desktop, open Device Manager and see what's listed under Monitors now. You can also check the health of your battery using windows. Right-click and uninstall the monitor (s) listed in Device Manager. Reconfigured fan curves in AWCC to run low.Downloaded "Ryzen Controller" (I have a Ryzen Laptop) and capped temps at 70C.Turned off LEDs (for keyboard and back of laptop). The brightness bar is moving but it actually isnt dimming. I have used the search feature for my problem but unable to find a solution. hi, im saikumar few day back i purchased a laptop, its working good but im facing a problem. just wondering if someone is able to help. My last question that may or may not be related, has anyone noticed their battery life/efficiency has also dramatically worsened? Go to your Power Options > Advanced > Display and make sure Enable adaptive brightness is disabled. However it is terrible for battery life, as all of your graphics in your system will be computed by the power hungry dedicated GPU. You will notice a good boost in FPS for any of your GPU bound games. In the last month or two the battery life dropped from holding an average 2-3 hour charge (more if left asleep), down to about 30-40 minutes (and actually gets worse when I close the laptop and I can't for the life of me figure out why).ĭisabling "Advanced Optimus/Hybrid Graphics" should give you improved performance. My last question that may or may not be related, has anyone noticed their battery life/efficiency has also dramatically worsened? I am well aware of the many ways to preserve a laptop's battery and have certainly taken good care of this device. I am wondering how does disabling the "Advanced Optimus/Hybrid Graphics" effect the performance overall? Should this ever be enabled again in the future? I hope to revisit this thread to hear of other users solutions and/or if there are driver updates that resolve this entirely. There are several methods to access the display driver, which is where youll find the brightness control - if your display driver has that option. You may not be able to adjust the LCD brightness when you update the BIOS version to 1.5.0 on your laptop. Today I will try to disable the Advanced Optimus (Disable the Hybrid Graphics) in the bios and will post again if it does not work. Cannot change the LCD brightness setting. I'm having the same issue with the brightness and also have tried the many methods to resolve such an issue as other users have posted on this thread.
